What ServiceTitan Actually Costs (And What It Doesn't Cover)

ServiceTitan does not publish a price, and even a full quote won't answer your phone. Here is what its pricing page really shows and the one job it was never built to do.

You have probably typed “how much does ServiceTitan cost” into Google and come away more confused than when you started. Here is the short answer, plus the part most of those searches skip.

ServiceTitan does not publish a price. Its official pricing page shows no per-user price, no per-month price, and no per-year price. And even once you have a real quote in hand, that number buys you dispatching, scheduling, and payroll. It does not buy you someone to pick up the phone.

The pricing page shows three tiers, not three prices

The tiers are Starter, Essentials, and The Works. The pricing model is listed as “per-technician pricing.”

Starter includes Dispatching, Scheduling, Call Booking, Invoicing, and Pricebook. Essentials adds Mobile Estimates and Payroll Management. The Works adds Configurable Payroll, Advanced Reporting, Commission Tracking, and Customizable Memberships.

That is the confirmed information. The page does not say what any tier costs for a one-truck shop or a five-truck shop. It says pricing “is designed to fit your business and goals, at any size.” What you get instead is a Request Pricing button on each tier, a demo request, and a contact-sales path.

Notice what is on that feature list and what is not. Every item is something that happens after a call comes in and a job gets booked. None of it is the part where the phone actually rings.

The numbers you find online are estimates, not quotes

Search a little harder and you will find blogs and comparison sites quoting confident per-technician prices and five-figure setup fees. None of those figures could be verified on ServiceTitan’s own site, so do not build a budget around them. The only number that settles this for your shop is the one ServiceTitan puts in writing for your shop.

You already know how this works, because you are on the other side of it every week. A customer asks what a repair will cost, and the honest answer depends on the work, the materials, and what you find when you open the wall. That is the same problem we get into in how to answer “how much is it going to cost?” on the phone, only now you are the customer asking the question.

ServiceTitan and Bella are two different line items

This is worth being direct about. ServiceTitan is field service management software. Its published features cover dispatching, scheduling, invoicing, Pricebook, payroll, estimates, reporting, commissions, and memberships. All of that assumes a job already exists on the calendar.

Bella answers your phone. Bella books the job, flags a real emergency by text, and remembers a repeat customer by name, 24 hours a day, including the ones your voicemail currently eats at 9 p.m. on a Sunday. That is not field service management. It is the step before it, the one ServiceTitan’s own pricing page has nothing to say about because it is not what the software does.

These are two different purchases, not competing versions of the same thing. A shop can reasonably run both, one, or neither. When you are working out what you can afford, put them on separate lines and keep them there. For the phone side of that math, receptionist or answering service: the real math walks through how to put the numbers next to each other before you buy either one.

One honest note on our end: Plumber Secretary publishes its prices. Starter is $95 a month, Growth is $295, Pro is $495. Some software prints the number and some asks you to book a call first. Enterprise software is commonly sold the second way, and that is not a scandal. It just means more homework for you before you can compare anything, on either side of the purchase.

What to nail down before you sign anything

Since ServiceTitan’s rate is per technician, ask who exactly counts as one. Does an office person count? If you run calls yourself, are you one seat or two? On a small crew, the seat definition can move the quote more than the rate does, and it is the kind of thing that is easy to assume and expensive to get wrong.

Then find out which tier you actually need. A cheaper tier is not cheaper if it is missing Mobile Estimates or Payroll Management once you are three months in. Ask which modules cost extra on top of the tier price, and if you plan to process payments through the platform, ask for those rates too. A tier price without the add-ons you need is not your real monthly price.

Last, get the contract terms and the first-year total in writing before the demo ends: minimum term, what happens at renewal, whether the rate is locked, and every fee at onboarding. A monthly number can look very manageable right up until you add the first year together, and by then you have already had the sales call. Do this part while you still have their attention, not after.

None of that changes while you are on hold, either. Whoever is fielding your calls during the weeks you are shopping ServiceTitan quotes is still the thing deciding whether those calls turn into jobs. That is the gap Bella is built to close, separate from whatever you end up deciding about dispatch software.

That total first-year cost is the number you compare against what the tool is actually worth to you, and that comparison only works if you are also counting what a missed call costs on the other side of the ledger. How much are missed calls costing you? is a decent way to put a figure on that before you go into either sales call.

So do not walk into the ServiceTitan call asking only what it costs. Walk in with your tech count, your must-have features, and your written list of billing questions. Walk out with a written quote and a first-year total. Then decide, knowing that whatever you decide about job management, your phone is still a separate problem with a separate, published answer: dial the demo line at (669) 284-5564 and hear how Bella handles a call, or see it for yourself.
